About Tiana

Tiana Martinez (Ihanktonwan Dakota, Ponca, Turtle Mountain Ojibwe) is a recipient of the Truman Capote Scholarship Award and received the 2023 Betty & Norman Lockwood Poetry Prize for her poem "Oxtail End Song," from the Academy of American Poets' University and College Poetry Prize program. She's earning a bachelor's degree in creative writing, focusing on poetry, and minoring in studio arts.
