About the Artist
Odo Ishkiin never wanted a desk job. His mind was always bouncing back and forth between different ideas to be stuck at a desk all day long. Odo wanted to become a creator. Not like the one in the sky, but someone who creates for a living. He wanted to bring even his craziest ideas to life. Odo is a Native American artist based in Portland, Oregon, whose work combines his Shoshone and Apache culture with contemporary reference points. Works by Ishkiin address important topics based on real-life situations while also bringing a colorful point of view. He wants his work to speak the words he never got to say.
